What Happens In Vegas Stays in Vegas
And by "Vegas", I mean the yarn store.
And by "the yarn store", I mean I was there last night to hang out with Nicole.
And anything that may or may not have transpired there will stay there, forever silent in the dusty vaults of Montezuma. And undomesticated equines could not drag it out of me.

Lately there has been a rash of extremely whiny demanding thought-provoking comments requesting this and that, and I wanted to take today to address them.
The first request has been for me to submit the pattern for Maggie's cabled purse to Knitty. I have a number of reasons why I'm not going to do that. However, I've come up with an alternative plan that will hopefully make these whiny conscientious commenters happy. Soon (no telling when! Ha!) I will write out the pattern and put it with the Tychus pattern on my sidebar, so if someone wanted, they could print out the pattern and make the purse. Okay? Besides, there might be another pattern up there soon anyway.
The second request was for photos of newly-cast-on projects. While this is a terribly clever idea, I also have a number of reasons why I have yet to post said pictures. One of the two projects that I started over the weekend is going to be frogged and put away. I wasn't ever totally sure that it would remain a project. I didn't want to get anybody all excited about something that I wasn't sure was going to happen. I am looking out for your health and welfare. See how nice I am?
The other project I started is so far proving to be quite unphotogenic. The edges roll and I don't have enough fingers to hold down edges, keep stitches on needles, keep needles from poking out eyes, AND take pictures. So you'll just have to wait. I will tell you that this second project is the one made from sock yarn that isn't socks. (That's right. I'm going to frog a sock. It isn't like it hasn't happened before.)
The bright spot in all of this is that I cast on yet another new project last night. It's for a potential class for the yarn store in the fall. I have to be successful with it first. However, and I know you'll get cranky, but life doesn't always hand you everything on a platter, now, does it? I don't have any pictures of it yet, and probably won't for a little while. Be patient, my pretties.

*sigh* Fine. Be that way. But don't think that because life doesn't hand us everything on a platter that this gives you the excuse to also with-hold said platter. You can rise above. You can prove yourself to be a better person.
Say, how do you get the whole crossed-out text thing going?
It's fun! I learned today. Google is the best teacher! Just put (less-than symbol)strike(greater-than symbol) in front of the word or phrase you want to cross out, and (less-than symbol)/strike(greater-than symbol) behind it. It won't let me show you the actual thing in the comments because it thinks I'm trying to play HTML. So I hope that makes sense.
(And I will rise above no such thing! How about some patience???)
Patience? What's that?
Hrm. It wouldn't let me do it in this comment either. I'll just have to attempt it in a post. Cool! Thanks!
Well. Now who's being whiney? Really. We were just trying to be encouraging and show how much we revere your knitting skills. That's right. I read this blog with reverence in my heart.
I also revere your html skills. Mad skills.
